Volunteer opportunities

RLT-RPA Trail Crew
Led by Fran Egbert and Peter Wood, the RLT-RPA Trail Crew is so named because it was historically made up of volunteers from Rensselaer Land Trust and Rensselaer Plateau Alliance. (RLT and RPA merged in early 2024.)

The RLT-RPA Trail crew works on Wednesday mornings from March to November. Work locations include RPA-RLT lands and other trails open to the public across all of Rensselaer County. An email is sent out to the RLT-RPA Trail Crew email list a few days in advance with details about the next upcoming work day.

To learn more or sign up for the RLT-RPA Trail Crew email list, contact RPA Volunteer Coordinator Kim Murdick at kim@rensselaerplateau.org

The Weekend Trail Crew works on Saturday mornings from March to November. Work locations include RPA-RLT lands across Rensselaer County. An email is sent out to the Weekend Trail Crew email list a few days in advance with details about the next upcoming work day.
