About this two-part event
Ignite your curiosity about wildlife right outside your door! You are invited to join Francesca Williams of the Northeast Bird Habitat Conservation Initiative to learn about eBird, how to use it, and how this multifaceted tool can add to your outdoor experiences, assess your conservation efforts, and help you learn about the wildlife value of your land.
Have you noticed a particular bird species at certain times of year on your property? Birds tell a story about the habitat health of your property. Learn how noticing birds and using eBird to create a record of your rare and common sightings can shed light on the conservation value of your land.
What to expect
This event will consist of two parts: a webinar on Zoom on Thursday, April 17, followed by an in-person workshop at Albert Family Community Forest in East Nassau, NY on Saturday, May 3. Participation in both parts is encouraged, but not required.
