Overview

Albert Family Community Forest, located at the end of Hayes Road in East Nassau, opened in the spring of 2017. This 353-acre parcel was made possible by a generous bargain sale by Kevin and Mary Albert, a grant from the U.S. Forest Service Community Forest Program, the NYS Conservation Partnership Program, the Land Trust Alliance, and the NYS Environmental Protection Fund. This project would not have been possible without the support of the local communities and the community members that make up the Community Forest Committee.
