If you own land on the Rensselaer Plateau and want to make sure it stays undeveloped,
we want to help you. There are a variety of actions you can take, from simply not
developing your land (or selling it to developers), to taking out a conservation
easement on your land (which can help lower your taxes), to selling or donating
your land to a conservancy organization or to the state.
The Rensselaer Land Trust does an
excellent job of describing these options on their web site, and we’re working on putting together some information of our
